Yes, Gary does super heroes, too! Omega Man - Current Events and Celebrity Injustice is commentary on being famous and the second-class status of black superheroes, with an adventure storyline. Gary piled on special coloring effects and lettered the issue - Gary's cover lettering features simple typestyles to stand out from the bright, complex coloring. Right, Shadow Knight is just one of Omega7's large stable of characters. Below left, Knight of God shows how Gary uses color to enhance the storytelling by giving different locations their own color palette. Note the pattern and texture touches, like the photographic orb in the middle of the cover, the "real" moon on the Shadow Night splash, the mood enhancing clouds in Knight of God and the rock texture on the Knight of God cover.
